ACM-RN exam prep
ACM-RN practice for the Core exam and the case simulations
The ACM-RN has two parts, and you need to pass both. This question bank gives you 400 original Core questions weighted to the 2024 content outline (Screening and Assessment, Care Coordination and Transition Management, and Process Improvement), plus 20 hospital case scenarios where several questions build on the same patient, the way the Specialty Simulation works. Every question explains the correct answer and every wrong choice. It was created by a registered nurse with years of hospital case management experience.
What's included
- A free 25-question diagnostic to show you where to focus first.
- Two full-length Core practice exams, each with 110 questions and a 2 hour timer, weighted to the three Core content areas.
- A Specialty Simulation practice exam: 12 case scenarios with 31 linked questions and a 90 minute timer, scored for information gathering and decision making.
- 8 more case scenarios for untimed case practice, plus practice sets for each Core content area and a 30-question timed drill.
- Explanations for the correct answer and every wrong choice on every question.
Every question is original and written to the official content outline for this exam, with an explanation for every answer. These are practice questions, not real exam questions. Not sure yet? Take the free ACM-RN diagnostic first.
What's not included
- This is a question bank only. It does not include video lessons, study guides or flashcards.

How is the real ACM-RN exam set up?
ACMA describes two parts taken at separate appointments: a Core exam of 110 multiple-choice questions (90 scored, 20 pretest) in 2 hours, and a Specialty Simulation of 12 cases with 31 multiple-choice questions in 90 minutes. You must pass both. Our Core practice exams match the Core length and timer, and our Simulation practice exam matches the simulation's 12 cases, 31 questions and 90 minutes.
Which content outline do the questions follow?
The Core questions follow the content outline effective January 1, 2024: Screening and Assessment 42%, Care Coordination, Intervention, and Transition Management 50%, and Process Improvement and Evaluation 8%. The cases cover screening, information gathering, level of care and medical necessity, payer authorization, service coordination, notices and appeal rights, resources and transition planning.
Are these real exam questions?
No. Every question and case is original. ACM exam content is copyrighted and confidential, so we never use or ask for recalled questions.
Do I get explanations?
Yes. Every question explains why the correct answer is right and why each of the other choices is wrong.
Can I try it first?
Yes. The 25-question diagnostic is free and you do not need an account.
How much does it cost?
$29.99 for six months of the Core question bank, the case scenarios, the practice exams and the drill. It is one payment and it never renews.
