What's included

  • 275 original practice questions, each with an explanation for every answer choice
  • A timed practice test for each subtest: Reading, Writing (multiple choice), Mathematics, Science and Social Studies
  • Practice banks for all five subtests
  • A timed 30-question Mathematics drill
  • A free diagnostic that shows where to focus first
  • Six months of access from the day you buy, with one payment and no subscription
  • With the prep + classes pass, you also get our HiSET video classes: friendly lessons that walk through each part of the exam, each with a short overview and deeper chapters you can watch whenever you like

Every question is original and written to the official content outline for this exam, with an explanation for every answer. These are practice questions, not real exam questions. Not sure yet? Take the free HiSET diagnostic first.

What's not included

  • Textbook chapters, study guides or flashcards. The practice questions pass is questions only, and the prep + classes pass adds the video classes
  • Real HiSET questions or official scores. These are original practice questions, not questions from the actual test, and your practice results cannot predict your official score
  • The Writing essay. Every question here is multiple choice
  • Our practice tests are shorter than the official subtests, so use them to check your skills and pacing, not to predict your score

Full practice tests

  • Practice test: Reading: 20 questions, 33 minutes
  • Practice test: Writing, multiple choice: 20 questions, 25 minutes
  • Practice test: Mathematics: 30 questions, 65 minutes
  • Practice test: Science: 20 questions, 27 minutes
